Assisting alumni who want give back to Maryville is at the heart of the Office of Alumni Relations’ mission. Read about volunteer opportunities below and contact alumni@goudounet.com if you have questions or another idea of how you would like to volunteer.

Alumni Ambassadors

The Office of Alumni Relations invites you to deepen your engagement with Maryville and strengthen the alumni community by becoming an Alumni Ambassador. Ambassadors will be asked to assist in connecting the Office of Alumni Relations to their alumni circles and providing feedback/insight to the office and Alumni Council. In return, Ambassadors will receive special updates about Maryville, invitations to University events, early access to alumni events and more. Expectations of Ambassadors include:

• attending 2-4 (virtual) meetings per year
• collecting 6 class notes for the Maryville Magazine per year (3 per issue)
• sharing University updates with other alumni
• being a donor ($25+ per year) to Maryville

Alumni Council

The Maryville University Alumni Council engages with alumni through sponsorship of programs and by advising Maryville’s Office of Alumni Relations on special initiatives. Membership is voluntary and open to graduates and former students of Maryville University. Expectations of Council members include:

• serving on a Council Committee (Engagement or Events)
• attending 2-4+ meetings per year
• collecting 6 class notes for the Maryville Magazine per year (3 per issue)
• sharing University updates with other alumni
• being a donor ($5+ per month) to Maryville
